COGNITIVE AND
SENSORY IMAGING
(CASI) LABORATORY
PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Elizabeth Heinrichs-Graham
The Cognitive and Sensory Imaging Laboratory, also known as CASI Lab, is led by Dr. Elizabeth Heinrichs-Graham. The CASI Lab uses multiple techniques, including brain imaging with magnetoencephalography (MEG) and MRI, as well as neuropsychological testing to determine the neural oscillatory dynamics that underlie the complex interactions between how we sense and perceive our environment and how we develop higher-order cognitive abilities such as language, attention, motor control, and working memory throughout the lifespan.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Mild-to-severe hearing loss
Attention and working memory
Language learning and development
Cognitive development in children and adolescents
Visual and auditory processing, and multimodal sensory integration
