Hannah Okelberry, BS

Manager of Research Operations 
Institute for Human Neuroscience  

BS – Psychology and English, Creighton University

As the manager of research operations for IHN, Hannah promotes growth across the Institute by optimizing shared resources and software systems, leading administrative and operational teams, and working with researchers to support innovative projects. In her free time, Hannah can be found on her yoga mat, playing pickleball, or trying to keep up with her (overly ambitious) Goodreads challenge for the year.

Anson Lee, BA

Research Operations Coordinator

Anson is a research operations coordinator at the IHN. His current responsibilities center on pre- and post-award grant administration, which includes assisting with grant application submission, monitoring and strategizing grant budget allocation, preparing yearly grant project reports, and ensuring compliance with the policies of government agencies.  During his free time, Anson enjoys playing computer games with his husband and friends, singing karaoke, and spending time with his yellow Labrador, Riley.  

Yasra Arif, PhD

MEG Program Scientist

As a MEG program scientist at IHN, her goals are to continue investigating the modulatory effects of high-definition transcranial stimulation (HD-tDCS) on the neural dynamics subserving both cognitive and motor performance across the adult lifespan using cryogenic magnetoencephalography (MEG) and optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs). Besides non-invasive stimulation, the current general research interest also includes examining the age-related impact on cognitive neural activity across both modalities. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Cooper Livermore

3D Printing Technician

Cooper is an expert in 3D printing technologies and utilizes his expertise to successfully operate the IHN 3D Printing Core. He is constantly innovating, designing, and printing 3D models for a wide range of populations, research topics, and instrumentation needs. In his spare time, he loves watching movies and hanging out with friends.

Seth Bashford, BS 

Research Software Engineer & Technology Core

Seth is a programmer assisting multiple labs across all of Boys Town National Research Hospital including the IHN. He develops programs for administering experiments and data analysis. When at home he enjoys spending time with his wife, in the sun and playing guitar.

Ronald Bosworth

Neuroscience Computing Specialist

AS - ITT Technology Institute

Ron Bosworth is the neuroimaging computing specialist at IHN. His role includes interacting with staff and students regarding status of computing on a daily basis. Outside of work, he is a passionate philanthropist working with many non-profits especially Mustaches for Kids Omaha.

As the scientific communications manager, Julianne (Julie) gets to combine her love for science and people. Her goals are to highlight the importance of science and research to diverse audiences and its impact on daily life. In her free time, Julie enjoys hiking, board games, baking, and calligraphy.

Sophia is a public health professional, whose goal is to positively impact the community, especially marginalized communities, through engagement and health education. As the community outreach and research recruitment coordinator, her goals are to encourage community interest in all the different aspects of neuroscience along with increasing community awareness of the IHN. When she is not working, she is out exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, spending time with friends, or back home in California with her family.

Patti Levering

Administrative Assistant

Patti is an administrative assistant at IHN.  As the face of IHN, Patti greets every participant and visitor with a smile! She also handles purchasing and manages supplies for the Institute. She was born and raised in Omaha and is a summer girl that loves to spend time adventuring the outdoors and watching college baseball. She also enjoys time with her family and traveling with friends.

Natalie Lemanczyk 

Receptionist

Natalie is a receptionist at IHN. In this role, she assists with participant check-in for various studies. She is currently working through the early assurance program for physical therapy at Creighton University. Outside of work, her hobbies include baking, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends.

Addie Brabb 

Receptionist

Addie is a receptionist at IHN. In this role, she assists with participant check-in for various studies. She is originally from Lincoln, a graduate of Boys Town High School, and is an undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. In her spare time, she likes running, dog sitting, and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Lisa Houseman, RT, R, CT, MR, ARRT

MRI Core Manager

BS – Radiation Science, University of Nebraska Medical Center 

As the MRI core manager at IHN, Lisa’s responsibilities include scanning research participants in the 3T Siemens Prisma MRI, as well as coordinating billings, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance protocols.  She is also dedicated to adhering to the safety protocols in MRI.  When she is not at work, she enjoys cooking and tending to her flower gardens and many houseplants.  Lisa also enjoys traveling and has three dogs and a cat that are spoiled regularly.

Skyler Zeller, RT, R, MR, ARRT

MRI Technologist

Skyler is an MRI technologist at IHN. While most of her job involves scanning research participants and ensuring their safety, she additionally helps facilitate activities of the MRI Core. When she is not at work, she likes going for walks, visiting new restaurants, and shopping. 

Kelsey Jones, RT, R, CT, MR, ARRT

MRI Technologist

As an MRI technologist, Kelsey’s role includes scanning participants and patients and ensuring everyone is following MRI safety. When she is not at work, she enjoys reading, hanging out with her family, and playing with her cocker spaniel puppy, Maverick.

Nichole Knott, R EEG Tech, CMEG

MEG Core Manager

As the MEG core manager, her responsibilities include scanning research participants in our two MEGIN Neo MEG systems, as well as coordinating billings, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance protocols.  When Nichole is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and working on projects in and around her home.

Madisen Morrison

MEG Technologist

As a MEG technologist, Madisen's primary responsibilities include acquiring quality MEG data for studies across IHN. Her other responsibilities include safety screening, instrument maintenance, task administration, and documentation of MEG procedures. Madisen is from Alliance, Nebraska, has a 130-pound rottie named Bruiser and a cane corso puppy named Otis, and enjoys playing sand volleyball.

As a MEG technologist, Randi’s primary responsibilities include acquiring quality MEG data from both research participants and clinical patients. Other role responsibilities include safety screening, instrument maintenance, task administration, and documentation of MEG procedures. Outside of work she enjoys spending time in nature with friends and family.

Other role responsibilities include safety screening, instrument maintenance, task administration, and documentation of MEG procedures. In her free time, Claire enjoys playing Pokemon GO while spending time outdoors.
