Brain, Bias, and Beyond: Dr. Giorgia Picci Illuminates Neural Impacts of Discrimination at ACNP Conference

Dr. Giorgia Picci, Director of the Cognitive Affective Neurodevelopment in Youth (CANDY) lab, will attend the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology conference December 8-11th in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Picci was invited to present her team's latest work on the potential impacts of racial discrimination on how the brain processes emotional information in adolescence. The title of her poster is “Effects of racial discrimination on cortical oscillatory dynamics subserving affective processing during adolescence.”

The American College of Neuropsychopharmacology is a non-profit, professional society dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of and facilitating communication about disorders of the brain and behavior to advance their prevention and treatment.
