Paid Neuroscience Research Opportunities for Children and Adults
Hello, and welcome to the Institute for Human Neuroscience (IHN) at Boys Town National Research Hospital. We are a team dedicated to researching human cognitive neuroscience. We specialize in neuroimaging using some of the most state-of-the-art equipment in the world including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and optically pumped magnetometer (OPM). Each of these safe and noninvasive machines allows our researchers to understand the brain in unique and groundbreaking ways.
At IHN, we study several topics including pediatric brain health and development, trauma, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, hearing loss, aging, HIV, Alzheimer’s disease, and the effects of environmental toxins like radon on the brain.
In addition to these topics, we study the normally developing human brain across lifespan. We are fascinated by the differences in brain processes and are dedicated to understanding brain function to help develop individualized diagnoses, treatments, and therapies for those who need it.
It is because of individuals like you that this life-changing research is possible. We are always seeking participants of all ages and backgrounds to be involved in our research studies.
Participants are paid for their time.
Transportation is available to bring local participants to and from IHN.
We offer flexible scheduling and have appointments available six days per week!
Monday – Friday (8am – 8pm) and Saturdays (8am – 5pm).
All studies have been approved by an Institutional Review Board.
*Please note: The Institute for Human Neuroscience is a brain research institute that is focused on studying the brain throughout a person's life. Although much of our research is relevant to a wide range of brain disorders, we do not diagnose or treat participants.
If you or your child(ren) are interested in participating in our research, please fill out the short form below and someone from IHN will be in touch with you soon.
Thank you for your interest in helping to learn more about our beautiful brains!
Feel free to explore our website to learn about each of our researchers, our equipment, each of the specific studies we have running, or to request a tour of IHN and an opportunity to see the equipment up close.
