Abraham Killanin Receives F30 Fellowship Award
MD/PhD student, Abraham Killanin, was awarded an NIH F30 fellowship in September 2022 to examine the sex and region-specific effects of pubertal hormones on working memory and selective attention processing.
Dr. Wilson’s New R01 Grant
Dr. Tony W. Wilson, Director of the Institute for Human Neuroscience and the DICoN Lab, was awarded an R01 grant in April 2022 to determine whether parameters of the mitochondrial redox environment drive neuro-inflammation in persons with HIV and to explore whether chronic cannabis use modulates these parameters, with the long-term goal of identifying viable therapeutics.
Mikki Schantell Receives F31 NIH Fellowship Award
PhD student Mikki Schantell was awarded an NIH F31 fellowship in March 2022 to identify the effects of HIV-infection and methamphetamine use disorder on brain and cognitive function in adults.
Seth Springer Receives NIH F30 Fellowship Award
MD/PhD student Seth Springer was awarded an NIH F30 Fellowship in January 2022 to help improve our understanding of brain function in adults with Alzheimer’s Disorder or it’s common precursor, mild cognitive impairment.
